         VISIT BY THE HUNGARIAN FOREIGN MINISTER,
         MR. LASZLO KOVACS, AND DEFENCE MINISTER
      MR. GYOERGY KELETI, TO NATO ON 15 NOVEMBER 1994

INFORMATION

The Hungarian Foreign Minister, Mr. Laszlo Kovacs, and
Defence Minister, Mr. Gyorgy Keleti, will visit NATO
Headquarters on Tuesday, 15 November.  They will attend a
meeting of the North Atlantic Council at which they will
declare acceptance of the Individual Partnership
Programme for Hungary which has been jointly developed by
Hungary and NATO and approved by the North Atlantic
Council. The visit will begin at 16:30.  The Ministers'
departure is expected at 18:00.

PROGRAMME OF THE VISIT

16:25 -   NATO main entrance.  Arrival of Messrs. Kovacs
          and Keleti.
          Open coverage on a first-come, first-served
          basis.

16:30 -   Meeting with Secretary General in the Private
          Office.
          In view of the limited space available, only a
          restricted pool will be authorized to cover the
          beginning of the meeting.

17:00 -   Room 1:  North Atlantic Council Session.
          Introductory remarks by the Secretary General,
          followed by replies by Messrs. Kovacs
          and Keleti.  Presentation of Hungarian
          Individual Partnership Programme.  Coverage
          within the conference room by a restricted
          pool.

17:20 -   NATO Press hall area (Press Entrance).
          Meeting with the press.


ACCREDITATION

Journalists wishing to cover the visit of the Hungarian
Foreign Minister and Defence Minister will be allowed
into the NATO premises on presentation of a NATO
accreditation pass or a valid press pass.  Photographers
and cameramen wishing to be part of the Restricted Pool
should contact Mr. N. Fiorenza.
