Regional Environmental Center for Central and Eastern Europe (REC) is
an independent non-profit regional organization devoted to the
improvement of the environment in Central and Eastern Europe. REC is
headquartered in Hungary, with local offices in all 15 CEE countries.
REC has recently been invited to co-manage the Environmental
Partnership Program (EPP), a US AID-funded, five-year project of
targeted grant support to promote market-based solutions to
environmental problems and environmental partnerships among various
stakeholders (primarily local authorities and businesses) in the CEE
and NIS countries and the United States.
The REC is currently inviting applications for the following
positions based at its headquarters in Szentendre, Hungary:
o Regional Program Manager
o Grants Manager
o Program Coordinator
o Grants Officer
o Program Assistant
There are also openings for a Country Program Officer and Program
Assistant, based at REC local offices in Albania, Bulgaria, Macedonia,
and Romania.

======= REGIONAL PROGRAM MANAGER ===============
Regional Environmental Center for Central and Eastern Europe (REC) is
an independent non-profit regional organization devoted to the
improvement of the environment in Central and Eastern Europe. REC is
headquartered in Hungary, with local offices in all 15 CEE countries.
The REC is currently inviting applications for the position of
Regional Program Manager within the Environmental Partnership
Program. The EPP builds the capacity of local governments and
businesses in the region to develop market-based solutions to
environmental problems by facilitating partnerships between the
region and the United States or within the region.
The Regional Program Manager manages all aspects of the Environmental
Partnership Program (EPP) in the CEE region, including project
planning and implementation, budgeting, client and donor relations,
team building and staff supervision. Key qualifications include:
o Advanced university degree and at least five years experience with
international programs and environmental issues
o Management experience including staff supervision and contract
oversight
o Insight into environmental problems facing businesses and local
governments in the CEE region
o Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
o Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
o Proven project management skills, including budgeting and expense
control
o Computer skills (Windows)
o Fluency in English and at least one regional language
Preference will be given to candidates from the CEE region
