Position: Head of Grants Department
The Regional Environmental Center for Central and Eastern Europe
(REC). The REC is a regional organisation based in Szentendre,
Hungary, with the mission to assist in solving the environmental
problems in Central and Eastern Europe by encouraging
cooperation among non-governmental organisations, governments,
businesses and other environmental stakeholders, by supporting
the free exchange of information and by promoting public
participation in environmental decision-making.
The REC s Grants and NGO Support Program is a regional leader
in providing grants, capacity building, and research to NGOs in
Central and Eastern Europe.
The mission of the Grants Program is to enable tangible
environmental improvement in the CEE region by cost-effectively
channeling donor funds to projects with high environmental impact,
through a well-established and competitive granting system.
The REC seeks an enthusiastic environmental professional to lead
and support a dynamic and multicultural team in implementing a
variety of environmental programs.
General Responsibilities
Workto ensure the program s financial sustainability through
extensive proposal preparation and fundraising.
Propose,create, and manage new grants programs that meet the
environmental needs of the region, including raising funds for their
implementation. Develop and manage projects and programs that
assist in the development and capacity building of NGOs. Manage
a non-hierarchical, multicultural and creative team. Ensurethat
internal policies and procedures are followed. Represent the
Department within the REC; promoting the REC and the program
outside the organization. Ensurequality control in the department.
Qualifications
Experience and Skills level required In-depthknowledge of important
environmental issues in the CEE region Experiencewith grants
giving, training, and public participation Environmental NGO
background and/or experience Fundraising experience,established
donor contacts in the environmental field, creative fundraising ideas
Projectmanagement experience: planning, budgeting, cash flows,
proposal writing
Strong management skills   a  people person? and team builder
Experiencein a multicultural environment, ability to communicate
with diverse cultures and constituents
Computerliteracy - Windows 95 at minimum
Fluentin English language, other regional languages are welcome
Education
University degree in environment or a related field.
The position is based in the Szentendre Headquarters of the REC,
and reports to the Deputy Executive Director.

Minimum salary 1400 Eur./month.

Pont ilyen valaszokat szeretnek a tobbiektol is begyujteni (mint
Pirose volt), mivel mindenki a sajat szakterulete, vagy lako-
kornyezete kapcsan rangsorolja a kornyezetvedelmi teendoket.
Aki mondjuk radiologus, annak valoszinu az atomhulladek okoz
legtobb problemat, viszont a meterologusoknak inkabb a legkori
aeroszolok. Ezert szeretnem a tobbi szakember, hetkoznapi
ember  velemenyet hallani, hogy szamara mik a legfontosabb
kornyezeti problemak. A Piros altal bekuldott felmeres pont
ilyet mutat, de nem lehetne ez Magyarorszagon is elvegezni?

Paran a szememre hanytak (nem vettem sertesnek, inkabb epito
kritikanak), hogy miert csak a 11 kornyezeti tenyezovel
foglalkoztam. Nos, nem en alkottam meg, hanem a SETAC vezetesevel
lett kialakitva ez a 11 kornyezeti kockazat. Ez kb. 20 eve
finomitgatjak, modositgatjak neves szakemberek, s vegulis ez
lett felhasznalva az eletciklus-elemzes elkeszitesehez. Hogy
milyen motivalo erok voltak, hogy ezek keruljenek bele az
elemzesbe azt nem tudom, de ha megnezzuk, akkor egy eleg jo
altalanos, mindenkit erdeklo, foglalkoztato temateruletek is.
S mivel ez az elemzes csak megprobalja szamszerusiteni a
kornyezeti problemakat egy modellel, ezert mostmeg a modell
lehet hogy feluletesnek tunik, kesobb majd megtortenik a
modositasa, hogy minel pontosabb legyen.

Ki mit tud ajanlani, hogy egy gyogyszer hogyan bomlik le a
szervezetben, s mekkora resze marad "felhasznalatlanul",
urul ki a szervezetbol. Van-e, volt-e erre iranyulo vizsgalat,
s hol tudnek ilyennek utannanezni.
Abszolut amator vagyok a gyogyszerek, s biologia ezen teruleten,
szoval ennek tukreben varom valaszaitokat!

Ne mar, hogy senkinek sincs otlete, hogy szarazelemekkel kapcsolatban
milyen elerheto (lehetoleg ingyenes) informacioforrasok vannak.
Itt erdekelni a tipusaik, felepitesuk, gyartasuk, artalmatlanitasuk.
