| I did indicate that Connie Bruck wrote a 23-page article titled, "The world
| according to Soros" in the Jan. 23, 1995 issue of The New Yorker. She too was

| very critical of Soros. As for Soros foundations, here is an excerpt from her

| article on the Moscow foundation:
|
| "In the most recent imbroglio at the Moscow foundation, last spring, it
| emerged that employees had lent foundation monies to a car dealership in
| exchange for more than sixty cars, several of which the employees took for
| their own; computers and other goods that were supposed to be distributed and

| had been stockpiled in a warehouse; and roughly fourteen million dollars, whi
ch
| was supposed to have been spent on programs, instead had been deposited in
| banks of such poor reputation that those deposits raised the question, at
| least, of kickbacks."

I heard similar things about some peopel at the Red Cross.
Noone said SOros is beyond criticism. There are a lot of
things that I disagree with in what is quoted from Soros
himself, but what you did was not criticism but mostly
stupid insinuation that is irrelevant and meaningless. I've
given some examples, but I can give more.

| The Soros Foundation does wonderful work abroad. I believe that during

This is not even my biggest problem. The article is full of
insinuations, without actual statements. It mentions that
Soros does business with Citibank and AMerican Express and
ING Bank - which are some of the industry leaders especially
in international banking. Then it is mentioned that these
banks (and some others like Republic National - wher I have
my cheking and savings accounts :) ) were also implicated
(which means nothing) in somebody transfering soem money
that was ultimately obtained by illegal means (drug
smuggling, russian mob, etc). If you are going to hold
everyone who deals with these banks, or transferred money
that was ultimately obtained by illegal means responsible -
there won't be a single bank left standing. Banks don't
know, don't ask and don't need to know how the money taht
was deposited, invested with them or transferred through
them earned. Implicated and investigsated and dealt or did
business with are meaningless words. The amount of
meaningless material in the article (and the "intelligence"
source take away most of the credibility from the few
statements that carry ANY meaning). The author shows
evidence of not just bias but total lack of knowledge of
what banks do, what they are ethically or legally
responsible for. THe most ridiculous statement I heard was
that Soros only holds a US passport (what does that mean)?
and that he only lives in New York because that's where the
money is. Cheez... of course a banker does business where
the money is, and why would they not live there? Are you
also objecting to actors living in Hollywood (because
that's where the studios are)?

| I've heard from a friend of a cousin on my wife's side who chewed gum and
| walked at the same time that they had seen reports that Soros had secretly
| financed the grassy knoll operation in Dallas and then planted spin
| doctors to fertilize the grassy knoll theories as a self-reflective

We have a son in 10th grade who is taking Spanish in school. He
thought it would be fun to find a Spanish chat room. He figured that
would really help him learn. I searched for "Spanish Chat" and access
to your page was one of two that came up.
Are we on the right track, & is anything here appropriate? If not, do
you have any other suggestions?
	Thank you.
